Privacy Policy

Overview

Lift Tracker ("we", "our", "the app") is a workout tracking application available on iOS and the web. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we collect.

Data We Collect

Account Data

• Email address (when signing up with email/password)
• Display name (optional, set by you)
• Authentication tokens managed by our authentication provider (Supabase)

If you sign in with Apple or Google, we only receive the information necessary to authenticate you. We do not receive or store your Apple or Google password.

Workout Data

• Exercises you create (name, equipment type)
• Workout sessions (date, exercises performed)
• Sets within sessions (weight in kg, repetitions, notes)
• Workout templates you build

Preferences

• Theme preference (dark or light mode)
• Colour scheme selection

Data We Do Not Collect

• Health data (we do not integrate with Apple Health, HealthKit, or similar)
• Location data
• Advertising identifiers or tracking pixels
• Third-party analytics (no Google Analytics or similar services)
• Contacts, photos, or other personal data from your device

Third-Party Services

Supabase

We use Supabase as our database and authentication provider. All your workout data and account information is stored in Supabase with row-level security enabled, meaning only you can access your own data.

Sentry

We use Sentry for error tracking to help us identify and fix bugs. Sentry collects error reports and stack traces when something goes wrong. Session replays are only captured when errors occur to help us diagnose issues. Sentry can be disabled if the configuration is not present.

Authentication Providers

Apple Sign In and Google Sign In are used solely for authentication. We do not share your data back to these providers beyond what is necessary for the sign-in process.

Guest Mode

If you use the app as a guest, your data is stored in your browser session only. Guest data is not backed up to our servers in a recoverable way. If you clear your browser cookies or use a different device, your guest data will be permanently lost. We recommend creating an account to keep your data safe.

Data Security

• Row-level security is enforced on all database tables — you can only access your own data
• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
• Authentication tokens are stored securely in HTTP-only cookies
• We do not store your password in plain text

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete all your workout data from within the app settings. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data entirely, please contact us at oscoapps@outlook.com.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

Children's Privacy

Lift Tracker is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
